I messed around a lot with the background. I wanted a nighttime scene in the mountains and this was the picture that spoke to me. I could have added stars into the background, but as you can tell with the origional stock picture I used, it was the opposite hills (so that meant I could not put any stars there, even though I could have done it. I choose a really good horse to work with, and I like how the light turned out with him. I wanted to origionally do a running horse, but the grazing idea just rolled with me and the running image I had chosen was just being a stubborn little thing and not letting me work with it. I messed up with the tail a little and the lighting that goes with it, but I like how it turned out. I also like how the blue roan of his coat matched well with the purple lighting and the blue tones that I pictured out of the picture to make him match the background. I feel said that he does not get enough facetime, as his face is mostly covered in the darkness, but I like how it sort of goes with the song that inspired this image for me. I just can't wait to start on my next image.
